Nearly dark when she and the 2 youngens came out and "begged" me to go for a walk with them...

Sunday Rode the bike, first time in ages so only 8km. Then this afternoon did a 2+km walk with T and y's. Some of it uphill pushing the pram, handed it back to her when the 2nd kid got on though.
We went out to explore Hoffman Mill. It's really nice there but no camping this time of year so only a few people around. We'll be back.

Sunday Slow walk into town so 20 minutes maybe. 1.5k's only.

Monday Bush walk with husband. We went for a drive to see how his injured back held up and as we were in the area we walked around the POW area and did Marrinup Falls walk. Still no waterfall even though we have had some rain.

Tuesday I had to look after 3 little kids this morning so pushing a pram and walking around for a couple of hours was all I achieved. And I say a couple of hours but was really, probably only an hour or so. 😃

Wednesday Bikeride this morning, its been awhile so only 8km. Knees were aching before I reached the 4k turnaround but otherwise it wasn't too bad.

Thursday 11km this morning. Was going to do the 13 but as I have jobs to do before I go into Vinnies decided I better not.

Friday Half hour bush track, flat track.

Am I fitter? Fitter than last Friday, yeah. Not as fit as next Friday...hopefully!Barb.http://www.blogger.com/profile/11383714327462070532noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4062686717562119780.post-32540978351330839422020-05-23T20:24:00.001+08:002020-06-02T08:40:08.281+08:00Sat 23rd - Friday 29th MaySaturday Wasn't planning on doing anything after feeling so sore yesterday but woke up early feeling Ok so rode 8km.

Sunday Storms forecast for today so it seemed like a good rest day. Then T rang saying she was going up the dam to walk, did I want to go to. No I didn't, it was going to storm...I went and we walked for just over an hour.

Monday Nothing
Tuesday Nothing
Wednesday Nothing
Thursday Nothing as yet, again. It's raining, I'm a sook and don't want to do anything in the rain. And I have to go into work for a few hours soon. Excuses have started.
Friday And again, nothing.

Am I fitter? haha, there is no way I could be.Barb.http://www.blogger.com/profile/11383714327462070532noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4062686717562119780.post-79253669093097237562020-05-18T07:46:00.001+08:002020-05-23T20:21:59.841+08:00Saturday 16th - Friday 22nd MaySaturday Rest day today. Because I got busy then couldn't be fagged!

Sunday Bush walk up at Marrinup Falls. Of course there was no water except for a couple of stagnant pools but the walk was great. Hills, steps, lots of nature, I loved it.

Monday Another rest day haha Or am I still just too lazy to get out and just do it.

Tuesday Thank goodness for daughter otherwise I would have done nothing again. T walked out with the pram so we all walked up to the corner and back. I did 3km but by the time she was home again she ended up with 7 on the clock! Brilliant woman, she is doing so great with it all.

Wednesday Hmmm, bad habits creeping back in with no ride or walk again. Did go into work for a few hours and really felt that by the time I got home.

Thursday Have work again this morning so wasn't going to ride but decided on a short 8. But got to the 4k mark and thought I'd do the 11k ride. Home now and I rode 14km. Pleased with that. Hard work though so need to go more often.

Friday I am so sore. I hurt so bad...and all because I walked for a few hours. haha Went to Ridley place with daughter and youngens and decided to walk to the old LaPort pipeline. 'Cause you know, it's just there, not far...'ceptin it wasn't "just there" It was miles away. Then miles back. Fun though. How T walks and pushes the pram with 2 kids I don't know, hard work that. And luckily not my job!
Google Earth says 3.5 there so all up we would have walked more than 7, there and back, up and down and crossing roads etc..

Am I fitter? I don't feel fitter this week. I hurt, everything has been an effort, too many days of nothing...Barb.http://www.blogger.com/profile/11383714327462070532noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4062686717562119780.post-13394458680992558972020-05-09T09:37:00.002+08:002020-05-15T11:24:16.703+08:00Saturday 9th - 15th MayGoal for May is to get to 15km.

Saturday Rode to Hamel this morning, intending to get to the hall then turn around and come home again but by the time I got to the end of Roberts Rd I was buggered and the hall was uphill. So turned left and went into the old nursery. Back up to the road and onto James, Fawcett then home again. Turned down limestone instead of George as I was still buggered and hit 15 at McNeill. Next time I will do George. So 15.5 at our driveway and you know what that means...16 was right there! so up past Buzz's then home again. 16km ride this morning, 1 hour. Gotta be pleased with that!

Sunday Went for a walk at Creery Wetlands with T and her kids this morning over in Mandurah. It was nice, not fast as we had to keep stopping for phone messages due to a family emergency but otherwise it was OK. We might do it again one day when we can just do it without the drama.
https://trailswa.com.au/trails/mariners-cove-trail

Monday Rode 15km this morning. Rode out to Summers Rd but seeing as just under 3 km of that is gravel I wont do this ride too many times. I will have to ride it when I decide to do the 17km circuit that will get me to Coranation and so back home...Not this week though.

Tuesday Nothing all day but finally decided to get on the exercise bike before I called it a day. So 30min on that, better than nothing but I need to get the moving out of the way early or chances are high that it wont get done at all.

Wednesday 14km this morning. Really couldn't be bothered going at all so it was half past 8 before I even started. Tried to ride through the sandy track that is Leach but gave up after half a k...next time.

Thursday Didn't ride this morning and got busy doing other stuff but daughter was going to come into work with me for a couple of hours and she took a detour...So a 1/2 hour bush walk done. Walking tracks and inclines is bloody hard work, think I need to do more walking.

Friday 3km walk to the corner and back, flat road, took 40ish minutes but had the youngens so some time was stopped or slow. Tiff walked to here from her place first so she ended up with an extra 2 and a bit k's, pushing a pram with 1 sometimes 2 kids in it!

Am I fitter? Can go much further on the bike and in higher gears but walking is hard. I will need to walk more. Used to get to the corner and back in 30-35 minutes so that's something to work on and we have a friends permission to walk on their hilly property. The dam area has some nice bush areas to walk too and the pines is sandy bush tracks so there is really no excuse. Barb.http://www.blogger.com/profile/11383714327462070532noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4062686717562119780.post-16152745575138854212020-05-02T08:02:00.004+08:002020-05-09T07:50:51.521+08:00Sat 2nd May - Fri 8th.

Saturday Went bushwalking again this morning. Daughter has an app that shows how long we walk, how many km's, how long it takes... What this mornings record doesn't show is all the uphill bits that we did. Lots! And then some more. I will ask her for the stats and put them on here somewhere just for my own record. No bikeride today.

Sunday Was going to have a rest day after yesterdays walk but felt OK this morning and decided on a short ride, maybe the 8km. Got to the 4k turnaround and still feeling OK thought I'd do 10, maybe 11...Got to the 5.5 turnaround and the next one "was right there" so I went for it. 13 km ride over and done with before 8am. Happy with that! And this evening daughter walked out to our place so I walked halfway back with them, More than a km but not much.

Monday It's raining and I'm too sooky to ride in the rain. I could use the stepper. Or the exercise bike. But I need to go into work for a couple of hours soon...Hmmm, maybe later. Ended up getting on the exercise bike for 17 minutes. Would have been longer but the tablet went flat!

Tuesday 4ish km walk. Walked the streets in town this morning with daughter, for over an hour. I used to be able to walk 3k's in 30-35 min, flat ground. This mornings walk, much slower, but not as flat. It felt like a real workout, much harder that the bike rides.

Wednesday Massive storms here last night and wet and windy this morning so I was gunna stay home, light the fire, watch Netflix...But daughter rang so we went for a walk. It was slow as grandson wanted to jump in all the puddles. Her app says I walked 2.4km, it seemed a lot longer but could be because it was so slow... No ride. Edit the walk was longer, 3.85 by my calculations.

Thursday Nothing. I'd like to call it a rest day but really I just kinda forgot to do anything because it was wet and cold.

Friday Rode the 13km route this morning. We had storms a couple of days ago and the evidence of how wild it was is all over the road, so many branches, sticks and honky nuts. And a few trees down.

Am I fitter? Absolutely. This mornings ride was quite easy and I didn't even have to change gears as much as usual. I'm even thinking I'm ready to add some distance, might aim for a 15km ride before the end of the month.

Sun 8km ride this morning. This afternoon daughter rang so I went for a short walk with them out at the pines, mostly sandy tracks and my back was hurting but it was OK.

Mon 20 min on the exercise bike. I was a bit sore from yesterday so didn't do my morning ride but at the end of the day before showering I thought I'd better do something. It was going to be 10 min but went to 15 and then 20 so happy with that. I haven't been on here for a long time and my legs were hurting but I will try and get on here more often as it is different to the proper bike....

Tues Just back from 11km ride. I saw my/the/a/ fox. A km away from where I have seen the fox before but heading in that direction...until he saw me and turned and ran away across the paddock. Could be the same one. But it could also be one of dozens that live out in that area.☺

Wed Had a late night so was only going to do the 8km ride but when I reached the turnaround point thought I'd try for the 11 again. But the next curve was "right there" so I went to that. And from there I could see the corner house, my goal point,..."right there", so went to that. It's been many years since I last rode this far knowing I had to turn around and get home again. All up 13km this morning so pleased with that. My knees were aching by the time I reached the 12 k mark but seem OK now.

Thur Bushwalk with daughter. Her app says 55min walking, we were away from car for an hour and 20ish...Some hilly bits, a nice walk. No ride.

Fri Rode the 13km ride this morning, not meaning too, not planning too...But "it was right there"! Took a long time though and was hard work as it was a tad windy, but only when I was going West, North and East...Heading South was an easy ride and just as well as that is the way home!

Am I fitter? Yes, definitely. Started out with struggling to do 4km and now I'm doing 13. Well only twice and it is a struggle but there is no way I could have ridden this far on the old bike and not even on this new bike when I first got it. And I have added in bushwalking which is a whole different lot of aches.

Barb.http://www.blogger.com/profile/11383714327462070532noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4062686717562119780.post-85331907016361109192020-04-18T09:09:00.001+08:002020-04-26T19:03:26.188+08:00Week from Sat 18th April 2020.
Sat 18th 8km. Was tempted to try for 10km but was sensible and did the 8. 10 will come. Left at close to 8am and had the most traffic that I have had since I started. 4 cars and a truck. I know not a lot, hardly any, but still. Home just after 9 and time to get some stuff done.

Sun 19th No ride today but did do a decent bushwalk with daughter. We were gone from the car for 2 hours but we didn't walk for that long as we stopped to look at the creek, to take photos, to cringe at the rocky path we had to traverse...And to rest, I did a lot of that. But it was a good walk and we will do it again.

Mon 20th Nothing. Should have after yesterday but slacked off.

Tues 21st 10km bike ride. Hands were real tingly by the time I got home but fine now. Saw a fox, same area as before so probably same fox. I was aiming for 9 but at 4.5 I was so close to the corner I had to keep going. Then so close to 5km I went a bit further. My goal corner was in sight, right there! but I turned around and rode home. Because really, "right there" could have been a k away. I'll find out another day.

Wed 22 4km, around the block plus up the road and back. I'm expecting to go for a ride with grandaughter this afternoon but wanted to do something just in case we don't get out later on. It rained. Grandaughter piked.

Thur 23rd Nothing? Again? Surly not...Need to check in with the group and see what I said there.

Friday 24th Shorter bush walk with daughter and her kids, up at Nanga townsite. Did race J from bridge and back. She started at one bridge, I started at the other. She won. Then she did it again and beat herself...Impressive!

Am I fitter? Gotta be. But I keep forgetting it's Friday so I don't take notice of how I feel or if what I am doing is easier or not.Barb.http://www.blogger.com/profile/11383714327462070532noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4062686717562119780.post-3519185669959902812020-04-12T09:00:00.000+08:002020-04-12T09:00:09.815+08:00Things I See. And think of...We are in a rural area so I always see cows, a couple of horses, a pony, sheep and birds of different sorts, on my ride when I head North way. It's nice.

Today, 12 April 2020, Easter Sunday, on the way out I saw 5 or 6 x 28's, a rabbit , a willy, crows/ravens...On the way back I saw the guinea fowl in a paddock of where they used to be. I haven't seen them since I started riding again past this property and thought that they were gone but no, just hanging out in a different area. And probably not the same ones that we used to see all over the road all those years ago!

Also saw a fox! 7:45am and he was on the side of the road, took off when it saw me and streaked across the road and through the paddock. Yep, I see a fox running away and think of Ethel...
Saw more, or the same, 28's, and another willy, there's that song again...

Wondered how far it was to the corner that we used to ride to, and if I rode to there would I be able to get home again...Didn't try as I didn't have my phone with me to call for a pick up if I couldn't. But I will eventually get there. And back again too!

Wondered if farmers still spread super on their paddocks as there was a strong smell in some areas, not fox smell.

Thought of my husband when I saw a dove or pigeon sitting on the powerlines...I didn't know what type it was and he would have. Then started getting cranky with our plumber because he didn't come and finish the job we've been waiting more than 12 months for and what if husband needs to go into isolation. Then worried about him a bit and forgot about the plumber. And forgot about husband within minutes (seconds) as there was other things to see and wonder about!

And coming down our road there was a bandicoot in the drain. It also took off when it heard me...Seems I have that affect on wildlife.

I enjoy my rides, so pleased I now have a bike that I can ride and get out there again.

Barb.http://www.blogger.com/profile/11383714327462070532noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4062686717562119780.post-65885437531466794672020-04-11T08:20:00.001+08:002020-04-18T09:15:01.472+08:0010/4/'20 - ...It's Saturday 11th April 2020. No ride again yesterday. I eat too much crap when I don't go for the ride, seems the less I do the more I eat.

If I start doing things after my morning coffee, like dishes, cat, chooks, watering, computer, and then it gets too late/too hot I am less likely to get on the bike. Seems I have to get this done first thing, after coffee, otherwise there are no guarantees. But it is sometimes too windy so hard to ride in the mornings.

Sat 11th April. 8km bikeride. Knee a tad achy on the way back but only for a bit. OK now. Hands same, bit tingly and still feel them now, but will shake it out and be fine. And just like that it is nearly 8oclock and gunna be warm out there. Spent most of the day outside so ate less crap. And lots of grass was removed from around the orange trees and edges of gardens. I'll feel that tomorrow.

12th Easter Sunday - 8km this morning. Wasn't feeling it this morning so thought I'd just go to the corner and back, then thought I'd get to the old dairy, before I knew it I was at the guinea fowl curve so may as well go all the way and turn around at Whettem... The rest of the day was a wipeout though, just wasn't up to anything.

13th 7km this evening. Really couldn't be fagged this morning. And husband was home and up early so that put me behind... Late afternoon I had a message from grandaughter asking if I wanted to go for a ride so we organised it and went. So big thanks to J for that 'cause I probably wouldn't have gone otherwise.

14th 12km. Now that is impressive! Grandaughter came with me again so we planned on doing the same ride as yesterday but she said she was willing to go further and see what my usual ride was. So I arranged to meet her at our meeting spot then we both rode back past our place and up the road and around the corner. She was fine to keep going and OK to keep going still when we reached the curve. So up to the corner then turn around for the ride home. We did call in to our place so she could fill her water bottle then back to where we met so she could continue home. Then I turn around and come back home. My riding in to meet her adds an extra km each way so that's where the extra 4 came from today.

15th Didn't do anything all day and really couldn't be fagged...But ended up riding to the corner and back so 3km.

16th Nothing.

Fri 17th No ride today either...Hohum...

Am I fitter than last week? Who know, I think I need a testing kit of some sort. I am riding further than when I started but not riding every day. Did 12km one day this week but then had 2 days of nothing. Will try and not do less next week.

Rode 4km this morning. That seems like such a short distance for the effort I put in though. But the most I have done in years... so Yay for that! I rode towards town, planning to get to the railway line where we used to cross over, before turning back to home. I hoped it was further than I thought but it wasn't so I had to continue up past our driveway, went up to the bridge and back and was nearly on the dot of 4km when I got back to our driveway.

This morning, 2 April, I rode around the block as I was wanting to see how far it was. I want to find a 5km route so I can set that as my basic ride. The block this morning wasn't it. After going around the block and back home I was still way short of 4km so kept going up to the corner then turned around and back home...nearly at the 4 so I rode down the driveway towards the shed then turned onto the grass in front of the house...and fell off. 3.97km. So didn't even get to 4 today. haha
Next time I will continue on past the house at the corner before turning back for home.

And all because husband was sick of my whinging and whining about not being able to ride to the corner so bought me a new bike. haha, Not really. He did buy me a new bike though, one that hoons so I have no excuse now...Hmmm...

3 April. Hadn't done ride when daughter messaged to say I had a parcel delivered to her house so I jumped on the bike and rode in to meet her at railway crossing. Rode home and called in as plumber was there then got back on bike to complete the distance. All up todays ride was 6.60.

4th April. No ride. Hmmm, slackin' off already?!

5th April. Might see how far away the old dairy is...It is around 2.3 to dairy. So I kept riding past. We used to ride this road years ago so I was going to try and get to the curve...did that and still kept going. It is 4.1 to Whettam Road, the corner where Mayfield turns off. So by the time I was back home I had ridden 8.2. That's pretty good I think.

6th. Hmmm, nothing. Nowhere. Zerozilchnada.

7th 9km this morning. Planned on doing 10 but misread the odemetre. Nine is pretty good though.

8th I'm going with 6 this morning, so mach harder than yesterday's 9 though. Limestone past Linda's then South, East, North, and home. Had to go just past the driveway to get just past the 6 by the time I turned around and got back to it.

9th. No ride. Ate too much crap.

10th. Friday Will I be/Am I fitter? haha, Maybe, didn't ride to see how far I could go or how great I felt afterwards. Ate too much throughout the day again.

Took 15 minutes. The bike has been sprayed and fiddled with, tyres pumped up, so it wasn't that bad. I hope to ride into town this week, to see if I can. And if I can then I hope to do it a couple of times a week. That would be good.
If I don't ride then I need to start walking again. Or anything again.

I have printed off a chart thing with the months printed and divided into sections, the idea is to colour in a section each day I move to keep an account of what is done.
And as of today I am on track!! How good am I?! haha.

We'll see how I go this time...Barb.http://www.blogger.com/profile/11383714327462070532noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4062686717562119780.post-34189024664259356302020-01-01T21:17:00.001+08:002020-01-01T21:17:33.021+08:00Bikes aint bikes..Went for a bikeride this afternoon, first one in awhile though. I have tried though, kinda. Sometimes. Once or twice anyway.

A couple of months back I was going to start riding again and on the 6th September I did. And a couple before that and a couple after, did some stepping too and was getting the numbers up. But then I stopped. As I do. Then I went and stayed with a woman and she has a bike that she rides 3 times a day, every day. So I asked if I could borrow her bike and go for a ride around the oval. And I did. That bike was so easy to ride I rode for miles, every day I was there. Then I came home and rode my bike. Not easy, so hard I couldn't get to neighbors driveway without hurting and being puffed. So I came home and put the bike away. Went to womans house again and rode her bike. For miles, it was so easy.
Husband looked at my bike, fiddled with the gears, sprayed everything, pumped the tyres up and I rode up the road and around the corner. Hard but doable. Next time I tried, harder. But I felt the tyres and they seemed OK. He comes out and tries the tyres and pumps them up and I rode around the corner to the limestone. And today to the corner and back.
But I think I need another bike. What sort and where from? And how much will it cost me?! No idea what I need and though I have looked at KMart I am not sure if they will be any easier than the one I have now. I may need a visit to Mandurah or Bunbury and go into a proper bike shop for advice. In the meantime I will ride mine when I can.Barb.http://www.blogger.com/profile/11383714327462070532noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4062686717562119780.post-56664737130457505872019-10-11T07:47:00.002+08:002019-10-11T07:47:38.650+08:00Nothing!!Well who saw that coming?! Nothing at all, not even daily steps on the stepping machine which is RIGHT THERE! in my face, getting kicked and tripped over on a daily basis.

There have been a few bike rides while I had been staying at my mothers house, and a couple of walks there too, but not a lot happening here to get myself fitter.

I wonder why I want to be so lazy and to stay so unfit...Barb.http://www.blogger.com/profile/11383714327462070532noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4062686717562119780.post-53399504183625044102019-09-19T08:09:00.001+08:002019-09-19T08:09:17.105+08:00Week 6th - 12th SeptemberFri 6th - Bike ride 3km, took 14 minutes.
Hmmm, looks like nothing for all that time. It is now the Thursday the 19th!! Will I be fitter By Friday? Ummm, no. Lots less fitter as I just did some steps and only managed 80. Oh dear...Barb.http://www.blogger.com/profile/11383714327462070532noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4062686717562119780.post-68823462411597186752019-09-06T08:33:00.000+08:002019-09-06T08:33:34.636+08:00I Went All The Way......To the corner and back. I haven't done that in quite awhile and it showed in the sore legs and the huffing and puffing but I did it anyway.

Learned a few more things:

Don't spend too much time looking at the cows in the paddock or you could end up in the lake-size puddle on the side of the road. I didn't, 'cause I'm good, but it was close.

Ducks that suddenly fly up out of the lake-size puddle make me jump.

I need a bigger bike seat. Or a smaller bum.

It's going to take awhile before I can get to the dairy and back.

The movement of something black out the corner of my eye, over in the paddock, probably wasn't a big cat/panther/puma...Probably...
Barb.http://www.blogger.com/profile/11383714327462070532noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4062686717562119780.post-36969158479684584712019-09-03T07:15:00.001+08:002019-09-03T07:15:03.346+08:00Why?Why do I eat so much crap, sit around too much doing nothing, not get outside and walk up the road, not get on the bike and ride for 5 minutes, not walk into town like I used to, not do anything to make myself fitter so that I can get out and explore and have fun? Why?

It's Tuesday already and I have had 2 days of nothing. Why? What the frig is wrong with me? Do I not really want to "wander the countryside, climb big rocks and swim in lakes and rivers"? I'm pretty sure that I do want to do those things and I would like to not half-kill myself in the process. I'd like it to be fun and not a strain on the ol' ticker. I'd like for the rest of the group to not have to stop or slow down and cater to me...In no way do I ever expect to be able to run up Bluff knoll and maybe even walking it again is now beyond me but smaller rocks, paths through the bush, wide lakes and dams...That could all be fun, so why don't I get fit enough to do it all? Or fit enough to do some of it even? Ha, dunno.

I know an 86 year old woman that goes for multiple rides on her bike every day, another woman only a couple of years older than me that can walk and ride for miles/hours. Someone else started bikeriding and is now up to 50km a time, a younger person that not long ago had emergency surgery but is now walking more than me...What do these people have inside their head that I don't seem too? Dunno.

I have a few choices.

I could sit on the lounge and eat cake/crap with the husband and stay home 'cause I will be fatter and more unfit than I am now and not want to do anything and stop thinking about all the wandering, rocks, lakes and adventures that I think I want to do.

I could keep doing what I am doing and not see enough improvement in fitness so I will whinge about it all being too hard so not do anything and end up doing number 1 by default.

I could eat less crap and move more and go on a weekly adventure until the adventure is that rock, lake or whatever I want.

I could eat better, move more, then move more again, then again...

What would be your choice? What will be mine...Barb.http://www.blogger.com/profile/11383714327462070532noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4062686717562119780.post-8469694283907685002019-08-30T17:51:00.000+08:002019-09-05T22:36:45.816+08:00Week 30 August - 5th SeptemberIt's Friday again. Am I fitter than I was last week. Lets just say yes and be done with it.
A new thing is going to be "walked on the spot" but will be put down as "wots" because I am too lazy too write out all the letters.

Friday 30th Aug This morning I wots while watching Youtube, 11 minutes. Bikeride this afternoon, yay me! haha. Thought I'd go to the bridge and back which all up is a km but kept riding past to the first white post before turning around and then rode past our driveway up to the first white post...And then...110 steps.

Sat 31st Something, I think...wouldn't have been anything more than steps though, maybe some minutes of wots.

Sunday - 1st Sept - Nothing I "think" I can feel the onset of shinsplints? Something anyway.

Monday - Nothing. As above, sore shins. I have had shinsplints before and it's not nice so "resting"

Tuesday - 200 steps on and off over an hour. 3 min wots.

Wed - I did use the stepper but can't remember how many or how often...

Thurs - 11 min wots this morning. Some whippersnippering which sent me to bed for 2 hours!

Tomorrow is Friday. I don't feel fitter, stronger or healthier. But I am not moving enough, I am eating too much crap still and I am not eating enough vegetables. Maybe next week. Barb.http://www.blogger.com/profile/11383714327462070532noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4062686717562119780.post-28942403636841396002019-08-30T08:09:00.001+08:002019-08-30T08:09:15.367+08:00Week 23rd - 29th August Well it's Friday again...Am I fitter than last week? Who knows, not me. I presume I must be because I am doing more than I was but I just don't feel fit, healthy and raring to go...And though I am sometimes getting on the stepper I am not doing anything else and I am eating way too much crap. As I do... Maybe I need to start recording the food I eat as well, we'll see how that goes.

I will keep writing down what steps I do on the stepper and any other stuff I do, like walking, bushwalks, bike ride,

Friday 23rd - 110, 110, 110 so 3 times up until 12:10. 100 steps at 5pm.

Saturday - No steps at all today but...did go out with daughter T so got some walking in. It wasn't a set walk though because the walk along a lake that I "knew" was there...wasn't. Who would have guessed that!! We ended up out at Myalup, did some walking, running, playing with the 3 year old there then drove to the caravan where we did the 500 metre walk down to the beach, ran/walked along the beach a tiny way then the walk up the hill to the caravan. I ended up pushing the 3 year old in the pram up the steepest bits while T carried the little light baby.

Sunday - 100. Walked for 25 min pushing the pram, not fast but I'm taking it.

Monday - Hmm, I really have to fill this in daily otherwise I forget. Hopefully I did do something.

Tuesday - Can't remember, some steps so I will claim 100!

Wednesday - 50 steps then later on another 110.

Thursday - Husband was still in bed at 6 so instead of stepper I walked on the spot for 7 minutes, then an hour later when I didn't much care if the squeaking stepper annoyed him I did 120 steps.

Not a lot this week, no bike rides but a short bushwalk and a walk pushing the pram...it all counts I suppose. The stepper isn't getting easier but maybe I am not using it often enough...

One of our stops was Crooked Brook Forest where we planned on going for a walk.
But which one? How fit were we feeling? How much time did we have? How far could the 3 year old walk? How far could the 30 year old walk while carrying a 6 week old baby? So many questions...We chose not to walk10km...
We had a decent walk, got up a bit of sweat, had fun, no yowies were seen, we had fun. We will be back and one day maybe we will do the 10 km walk. We'll see.Barb.http://www.blogger.com/profile/11383714327462070532noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4062686717562119780.post-18922702944896464302019-08-16T07:39:00.001+08:002019-08-22T22:38:24.340+08:00Friday 16th - 22nd August.

Friday 16th Was going to aim for 150 as a minimum this week but my legs hurt and I'm a sook so that didn't happen this morning. I did 100 and then 100 more 10 minutes later and will try for another 100 later on this morning. I will also take the Magnesium.

Saturday - I did a basic 100 after my morning coffee but nothing else that day. Should have, didn't...

Sunday - 9 oclock already and nothing so far. Husband is home, it's cold, I can't be fagged...daughter rang and we went on an adventure, short bush walk at Crooked Brook Forest. Good fun. But no steps.

Monday - No steps again, until 9pm when I finally did 100.

Tuesday - Feeling pretty good today but the stepper was stiff, managed 110 then 100 10 minutes later. It's nearly 5pm, tried again but only got to 50 before I gave up.

Wednesday - 110 after coffee but wow, legs hurt! I thought it would get easier but it hasn't, maybe I need to do it more often...

Thursday - 110 this morning but felt blah all day and nothing else.

AM / PM

Friday - 100, 100 / 100
Saturday - 100
Sunday - Bushwalk, no stepping.
Monday - / 100
Tuesday - 100,100 / 50
Wednesday - 100, 100
Thursday - 100

I thought I'd be feeling better and fitter by now but it's all too much effort and very little fun. Daughter has suggested that we do more regular bushwalks and I think that would be good so we will get a list of some walks not too far from home and see what we can do.
Barb.http://www.blogger.com/profile/11383714327462070532noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4062686717562119780.post-37653047724890995562019-08-13T21:42:00.000+08:002019-08-15T22:00:05.801+08:00Friday 9th - Thursday 15th August 2019Where does the time go? I know I slacked off, no surprises there, but maybe a bikeride or 2 since last post. Maybe...

What I have done though is join a Messenger group with a couple of other people and that is kinda motivating. And 2 weeks ago I brought the stepper inside. Again. Parked it in front of the TV. Again. Difference is that this time I am actually using it. I am definitely better than any other time that I have had it inside anyway so here's hoping I keep it up.

Day 1 - 30 steps.
So the first day I struggled to get to 30 in the morning after coffee. Next day was the same but over the week gradually increased the amount until I thought to start recording the amounts so I knew for sure if I was improving...

AM / PM
So from 30 in 1 go in the mornings I have increased to a minimum of 100 in 1 go in the mornings with an extra session or 2 in the afternoon / evening. Sometimes it seems quite doable but other times it's a struggle to get to 100, I hurt and puff too much...There are also the odd times I get on it during the day and do maybe 20 or 30, I will remember to write these down eventually. Maybe...
I am taking Magnesium most days as well as I know that helps muscles recover.

Definitely going to be fitter by Friday this week. Today there was no bike ride but a lovely walk instead. Well, maybe more of a wander but it was 3 and half km so I'm counting it.
