Walk Around The River.

Today there was no bike ride but a lovely walk instead.  Well, maybe more of a wander but it was 3 and half km so I'm counting it.

I'm out tomorrow but will definitely walk on Sunday , maybe, I wont be home again...I'm working most of next week but will try to at least get a short ride in before I have to leave home.

I Want To...

I want to get fit enough to wander the countryside, climb big rocks and swim in lakes and rivers.
I have been saying this for years and yet I have not done much about it.  I know why, too lazy, but why?
But I am wanting to do things now, wanting to go places, wanting to climb rocks and swim in rivers.

This rock.  https://parks.dpaw.wa.gov.au/site/granite-skywalk  It's only 2 km walk so sounds easy enough.  But it is 2 km uphill and lots of people say it is a hard treck so I really do need to get a tad fitter.  I have mentioned it to other people and will mention it to more...That way I may actually do something so I can do this.

For this week, I aim walk or ride the DT, and to be a bit fitter by Friday...

So I went for a ride...

I went for a ride this morning.  Couldn't make it past the neighbours driveway so turned around and came home.  I kinda "knew" the tyres would be flat even though I had pushed on them before I started so I tried pumping them up with the compressor.  Nope, couldn't get the nozzle thing on so I went hunting for a hand pump.  Same issue, couldn't get the nozzle thing on.  Oh well, I had other stuff to do anyway.   But husband comes out and after I explained to him he took a look and straight away saw that the tube nozzle was in the wrong position so he tried turning it.  He did the same thing with the tyre on a wheelbarrow last week and that worked a treat but why tyres and tubes should move when on a wheel I have no idea.  Anyway he took another look and noticed that there was a slight leak anyway so he put in a new tube for me, sprayed things a bit, checked the chain and gears...and the deadly treadly is ready to go again.  So I struggled on and rode up the road and around the corner to the limestone then back home.   Now I just need to do it again tomorrow!  Edit - And I did!

I did notice that we are getting our own little Gnomesville along that road.  Many years ago there was a small stump cut to look like a chair with 2 gnomes near it.  Today the were 2 more gnomes, 1 was sitting on a fish.  Not a real fish, a concrete fish...Do we have a competition happening?  Probably not but the thought made me smile.
